Ingredients:
1lb Ground Beef, fresh
1 Yellow Onion, diced
4 oz
Mantia’s
Elbow Macaroni
1 cup
Marcum
Beef Broth
1 pouch
Kaskey’s
Onion Soup Mix
1-1 1/2
Coburn Farms
Swiss Singles, diced
1/2 tsp
Marcum
Salt
1/2 tsp
Marcum
Pepper
1 tsp
Medeiro’s
Vegetable Oil
Directions:
Bring a large pot to boil; add salt. Add noodles and cook for 15-20 minutes
While noodles are cooking, heat 12″ skillet over medium heat. Add oil, then beef and onion.
Crumble beef while cooking and cook until browned. Drain grease.
Pour beef stock and seasoning packet into skillet and stir until packet is fully incorporated.
Cover with lid and cook 5-10 minutes until beef is tender. Stir halfway through.
Remove from heat and stir in cheese. Continue stirring until sauce is completely mixed.
Once pasta noodles are cooked, drain and mix pasta with beef and sauce.
Recipe Tips:
Add croutons before the cheese to give a classic french onion texture
Add 2 tsp of Worcestershire to sauce
For a thinner sauce, add in a tsp to tbsp of pasta water
For a thicker sauce, add in 1 tsp of flour, before step 4, make sure the flour is well incorporated into the product.
Add in the second packet of soup mix for even more french onion flavor
