Chocolate Cherry Cake

  • Devil’s Food Cake Mix
  • As Needed, White Icing
  • Ginger Evans Cherry Pie Filling
  • 1/2 cup Medieros Oil
  • 3 Good Nature Eggs
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 Cup Ginger Evans Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two (2) 9-in round pans with oil/spray. 
  2. Open cherry pie filling, and set aside 6-8 cherries.
  3. Combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and cherry pie filling, until fully incorporated.
  4. Pour mixture into greased pans and bake for 30 – 40 minutes. After 30 minutes, check cake using a toothpick. If not done, cook another 10 minutes.
  5. Allow cake to cool for 30 minutes then apply white icing.
  6. Place icing between cake layers and on the outside of the cake.
  7. Place chocolate chips in a food processor, then garnish cake with the pieces and cherries which were set aside.
  8. Enjoy.
