Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp of butter, then add onions. Cook for about 3 minutes.
  2. Add soup mix, thyme, and 2 tbsp of water. Turn the heat to a simmer and stir for 7-10 minutes, or until the onions become golden brown.
  3. On another burner, place a medium pan over medium heat and melt 1 tbsp of butter.
  4. Place a tbsp of Dijon Mustard on each side of bread. Place one slice of Swiss Cheese on one slice, and a slice of Cheddar Cheese on another, and let the sandwich toast for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Once the cheese begins to melt, add caramelized onions to each piece of bread and let cook for another minute.
  6. Remove sandwich halves from the skillet, then assemble and enjoy!

Recipe Tips

  • Add bacon, turkey, or ham to your sandwich if protein is desired.

  • 2 Yellow Onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices of Coburn Farms Sliced Swiss Cheese
  • 4 slices of Coburn Farms Sliced Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 pack of Kaskey's French Onion Soup Mix
  • 8 tbsp of Kurtz Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 tbsp of Marcum Thyme
  • 4 tbsp of Coburn Farms Butter
