Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two (2) 9″ round pans with cooking spray or oil.
Combine cake mix, eggs, oil, water, and chocolate chips.
Pour mixture into greased pans and bake for 30 – 40 minutes. After 30 minutes, check cake using a toothpick. If the toothpick is not clean when removing, cook another 10 minutes.
Allow cake to cool for 30 minutes then apply the chocolate icing.
Place icing between cake layers and on the outside of the cake.
