Fried Apples & Cranberries

Fried Apples & Cranberries

Prep Time: 10-15 minutes
Cook Time: 5-10 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Yields: 8

  • 4 Large Apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) Coburn Farms Butter
  • 1 Lemon, squeezed
  • 1/2 cup Fairhill Farms Dried Cranberries
  • 1/2 cup Ginger Evans Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  1. Peel, then slice, apples into roughly 1/2in thick slices. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Once butter is melted, add sliced apples. Then pour in the juice of one squeezed lemon.
  3. Coat apples well and allow to simmer until most of the butter is absorbed, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes.
  4. About halfway through mix in the dried cranberries.
  5. Do not overcook, the apples should be tender but still slightly firm.
  6. Sprinkle brown sugar over apples and mix well to combine. Lower heat and cook until all the sugar is dissolved into a syrup.
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle cinnamon over apples. Combine well and serve.
  1. Granny Smith apples work great, but any apple variety will do.
  2. The skin can be kept on the apples, if preferred!
