Directions

  1. Combine all the ingredients, except for the Mackerel, in a small saucepan over low heat.
  2. Cook for 20 minutes, watch for the lemon pieces to become slightly translucent and soft enough to eat. If they are still firm after 20 minutes cook for 10 more.
  3. Combine ingredients with the Mackerel in a separate bowl and serve on a saltine cracker.

Recipe Tips

  • Add in crushed red pepper for another kick
  • Serve with pasta or on toasted bread besides crackers.

  • 1 lemon Lemon, sliced in thick quartered slices
  • 1/2 cup Medeiros Olive Oil
  • 10 peppercorns Marcum Black Peppercorn
  • 1 tsp Ginger Evans Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Marcum Salt
  • 1 Marcum Bay Leaf
