Save A Lot Team Members were recently recognized during the company’s third annual End of Year Awards ceremony. The End of Year Awards acknowledge major accomplishments, reinforce excellent performance, and show gratitude to Team Members for the effort and heart they show. The awards were presented during the company’s Q4 Town Hall for the St. Louis Support Center, field, and distribution Team Members.

Over 120 nominations were submitted by Team Members, with representation from all business functions. Six recipients were chosen by an anonymous voting committee comprised of leadership from all departments, and the awards were distributed during the meeting.

Ayah Abed, Austinburg Distribution Center Logistics Manager

The 2023 Living Our Values Award was presented to Ayah Abed, Austinburg Distribution Center Logistics Manager, for integrating company values into everything she does and acting as a team anchor during an uncertain time. The Living Our Values recipient uses the Save A Lot values to unite Team Members to reach a common goal.

Kyle Wibbenmeyer, Store Layout Space Planner

The 2023 Customer Service Award was awarded to Kyle Wibbenmeyer, Store Layout Space Planner, for showing exceptional service to internal (Team Members) and external (Retail Partners and vendors) customers. The Customer Service recipient is extremely conscientious in ensuring customers receive guidance and displays initiative and resourcefulness when problems arise.

Nathen Fritzsche, Senior IT Director

The 2023 Outstanding Leadership Award was presented to Nathen Fritzsche, Senior IT Director, for exemplifying significant leadership skills and demonstrating a high level of initiative, responsibility, and resourcefulness. The Outstanding Leadership recipient develops trust and credibility through open communication and provides a sense of purpose and vision for their fellow Team Members by investing time and effort in developing others.

Michael Miller, IT Infrastructure Manager

The 2023 Rookie of the Year was awarded to Michael Miller, IT Infrastructure Manager, for going above and beyond since joining Save A Lot in 2023 and exhibiting outstanding performance. The Rookie of the Year brings innovative and useful ideas to tasks at hand and displays characteristics of having the ability to take initiative and being self-motivated.

The 2023 Hometown Hero Award was awarded to both Linda Troutman, Area Business Consultant, and Dave Scher, Senior IT Manager, for leading by example and serving their communities. The Hometown Hero is distinguished through their efforts to help others by going above and beyond by demonstrating a strong commitment to making an impact on the lives of others.
