Butter Pecan Syrup

  • 1 cup Nutsome Pecan Halves, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Coburn Farms Butter
  • 1 cup Ginger Evans Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 cup Ginger Evans Granulated Sugar
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tsp. Marcum Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp. Marcum Salt
  1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add pecans and cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until lightly toasted and fragrant.
  3. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, water, and salt.
  4. Bring mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugars dissolve.
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer 15 minutes.
  6. Remove saucepan from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  7. Allow syrup to steep 15 minutes to develop pecan flavor.
  8. Strain syrup through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl or measuring cup.
  9. Transfer syrup to an airtight container.
  10. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Add 1 to 2 Tbsp. syrup to coffee, cold brew, or lattes.
  • For a richer flavor, lightly brown the butter before adding the pecans.
  • Garnish beverages with whipped cream and chopped pecans for a coffeehouse-style drink.
  • Store refrigerated syrup for up to 2 weeks.
