(ST. LOUIS, MO) (July 9, 2025) – Save A Lot, one of the largest discount grocery chains in the U.S., partnered with Leevers Supermarkets, Inc, to donate to Missouri’s State Emergency Management Agency. Leevers, an employee-owned independent grocer, donated five trucks of non-perishable food items from their Natural Bridge store located at 4447 Natural Bridge Ave. Save A Lot joined in the effort by donating 10 palettes of grocery essentials and cleaning supplies. All these items will go to several local charities working with SEMA to help St. Louis families impacted by the May 16 tornado.
“Giving back to the local communities where our stores operate is at the heart of Save A Lot,” said Mark Lacey, Chief Human Resources Officer of Save A Lot. “Knowing that we’re able to make a sizable donation to this multi-agency warehouse allows our teams to help make a difference close to home.”
“We are committed to serving our Natural Bridge neighbors with high quality products, especially after disasters like this one,” said Bill Fant, Regional Director of Leevers Supermarkets, Inc. “When we found out about our partnership with Save A Lot was going to benefit St. Louisans impacted by the tornado, we were eager to support.”
