Save A Lot Helps St. Louis Mom Serve Area Children with Snacks
September 23, 2019 – For one St. Louis area mom, making sure neighborhood children don’t go hungry is all in a day’s work. A viral news story about Champale Anderson’s “Champs Teardrops” program, a free daily food giveaway outside her home, captured our attention and we knew immediately we wanted to help.
Each day for the past five years, Champale has maintained an open-door policy, providing lunches and afternoon snacks to any child who comes to the door – no questions asked. To show our appreciation for her outstanding generosity and community support, we surprised her with gift cards for free groceries for one year.
We’re proud to celebrate Champale as a true community hero, working hard to make a difference every day!
